Photograph, from left to right, of Mertie West and Mr. Stewart of Edinburgh standing on a viewing platform at Niagara Falls. The rounded platform stretches along the bottom edge, extending beyond the frame. It curves out towards the right. At center, Mertie West and Mr. Stewart stand. Mertie faces right and looks in that direction. Mr. Stewart stands slightly behind her and looks to the camera. A stone and metal constructed barrier lines the perimeter of the platform. It enters frame at right and follows the curve of the platform, curving up to the left. Several other visitors to Niagara Falls stand on the near side of the rail and look outward. A couple of viewing scopes stand alongside the rail.
