Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white. An out-of-focus photograph of Mertie West posing on a walkway at Cole's Hill that overlooks Plymouth Rock. A walkway at Cole's Hill stretches across the foreground and on an angle back to the left. In the near distance, Mertie West stands on the walkway, right-of-center, and smiles to the camera. Beside her at right, a viewing scope stands. Below the hill, the portico covering Plymouth Rock stands to the left. Six columns line the long sides of the rectangular structure and 4 columns line the short sides. In the background, Plymouth Bay stretches into the distance. Four punched holes line the upper right edge.
