Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the portico standing over Plymouth Rock, as viewed from atop Cole's Hill in Plymouth. Cole's Hill stretches on an angle past the lower left corner in the foreground. Below the hill, Water Street enters frame from the lower right corner and stretches back on an angle to the left. In the near distance, left-of-center, the portico covering Plymouth Rock stands. Six columns line the long sides of the rectangular structure and 4 columns line the short sides. It is viewed at an angle. Beyond and to the right of it, several boats sail in Plymouth Bay as it extends into the distance. Four punched holes line the bottom edge at right. According to the negative sleeve, this set of photographs is captured in color. The scans of these images are in black and white.
