Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of H. H. West standing beside the statue of John Harvard in Harvard Yard. A walkway stretches along the bottom edge. In the near distance, H. H. West stands, left-of-center. He faces the camera as he raises up an arm and rests it atop the base of the statue. The bronze statue of a seated John Harvard is viewed at a slight angle from the front. It stands at center, to the right of H. H. A bronze seal is inset to the right side of the plinth. An inscription across the front of the plinth reads, "JOHN HARVARD FOUNDER 1638." University Hall (partial view) is viewed close-up as it stretches across the background on an angle. Striped awnings hang over the second-floor windows and ivy crawls across most of the building.
