NRHP reference # 66000142 Photograph of Mertie West (right) and a man selling cards (left) chatting at the base of Cole's Hill Burial Ground in Plymouth. They are viewed from an elevated perspective in Cole's Hill Burial Ground. A grassy expanse occupies the foreground at left. It slopes downward as it approaches the top edge of the image. To the right, a series of stone steps cascade downward, also towards the top of the image. At the base of the hill, Water Street (partial view) stretches along the top edge of the image. Mertie West and a man selling cards stand, left-of-center, on a sidewalk lining Water Street. They face one another as they converse. A streak of white slices through the top of the image at center.
