Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of sailing vessels mooring alongside a dock in New Orleans. The dock spans the width of the image, entering frame from the bottom edge and extending back on an angle towards the right. Ships dock along the left side of the dock as it stretches into the distance. The nearest ship is viewed at an angle from the side; its upper deck sits below the level of the dock. Several small funnels dot the top deck amidst the masts and rigging. A singular stack rises from the back of the ship. Beyond it, other ships are visible mooring to the dock. At right, a warehouse stands on the dock and stretches into the distance. Large patches of white dot the bottom edge and flank the lower left and right edges. Text from negative sleeve: 2374.
