Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of the S. S. Del Norte moored at a wharf in New Orleans. The dock stretches across the bottom edge and back towards right and center. In the mid-ground at right, a woman (looks like it might be Mertie West) walks away from the camera. Ahead of her, a long building stands along the right edge as it stretches back on the pier. It is viewed at an angle from the side. Arched windows line the near side of the building. On the left side of the dock, the S. S. Del Norte is docked. It is viewed at an angle from its stern. Across the stern it reads, "[...] NORTE [...] LEANS." An American flag hangs from the stern's upper rail. The starboard side of the ship sits alongside the pier. Masts and rigging are visible rising from the upper deck of the ship as it extends into the distance. A large area of white rises along the left edge. Patches of white dot the bottom edge.
