Photograph of a photograph of Harry Hershey Cooper sitting at his desk in the Southern Pacific Railroad's Telegraph Office in the Pacific Electric Building in downtown Los Angeles. Harry Hershey Cooper sits in the foreground, right-of-center, and faces slightly left. He sits in his desk chair and looks at paperwork he holds in front of him. Ahead of him, his desk stands, left-of-center. Beyond the desk, a cabinet stands in the corner of the room at center. A covered window is inset into the back wall at left. Along the wall at right, a picture hangs and light fixture winds down the wall. Wood grain surrounds the edges of the photograph. Text from negative sleeve: 2381. Los Angeles S.P.R.R. General Office Telegraph Office in P.E.Bldg., Cor Sixth and Main Streets. Taken about 1902 when General Supt's Office was opened there. First telegraph office and operator Harry Hershey Cooper.
