Photograph, from, left to right, of Forrest Whitaker, Mertie West and Agnes Whitaker posing beside their boat while stopped at a gas station en route to Big Bear Lake. The trio stands in the near distance at right. They stand in a row and all look to camera. To the left of them and sitting at center is a fishing boat. It is viewed at an angle from the rear and the side. Canvas covers supplies and gear in the boat's hull. The boat sits atop a flatbed trailer that is hitched to a car. The car sits behind the Whitakers and Mertie. It is viewed from the rear. The gas station stands behind the boat and extends out-of-frame to the left. A row of 3 gas pumps stand behind the boat and to the left of the car. Posts between them support the gas station's canopy. Atop the canopy a large sign reads, "[RICHFIELD]." The station's store stands at far left and an attendant stands outside the store. Silhouetted mountains rise in the far distance. A band of white lines the left edge. Text from negative sleeve: 2384.
