Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Photograph of Catalina Casino, as viewed from the S. S. Catalina in Avalon Bay. The photograph appears to tilt downward slightly to the right. The backs of passengers' heads line the bottom edge, obscuring the view of the waterline. Ahead of them, Avalon Bay stretches across the mid-ground. Several boats float in the water. Catalina Casino stands atop a small peninsula that extends into the water at center. The round structure is encircled by columns and is capped by a cupola. Beyond it, low mountains rise from Catalina Island's shore. A wide, translucent band rises alongside the left edge.
