"Will Witherby" probably refers to William Witherby. "Dode" is Josephine Witherby, William's sister. Mertie West is the second wife of the photographer, H. H. West. Debbie West is the granddaughter of H. H. West, and the daughter of Anna Louise Roth West (and Henry Hebard West).
