Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. Mrs. George P. Griffith, Mabel Frankenfield, Florence O. Hunt, and Mrs. H.G. Raymond stand at a counter upon which lies a pile of fabric. A calendar for March 1936 is on the back wall behind them. A shelving section with hats is behind Mrs. Raymond. The seventeenth annual Salvage Shop spring dress sales to benefit the Children's Hospital. Mabel Frankenfield (Mrs. Budd Frankenfield) was the general chairman. Kate Page Crutcher (Mrs. Albert Crutcher) was the president of the Children's Hospital and assistant manager of the shop. Florence Onderdonk Hunt was also an assistant manager. A photograph taken at the same occasion appears with the headline, "Children's Convalescent Home Benefits From Sale," Los Angeles Times, 29 Mar 1936: D3.
