Dr. Bird and Hunt flank either side of Emmons, holding a shovelful of dirt at almost waist height.
On Occidental's 49th anniversary trustee George E. Emmons broke ground for the college's new hospital. Dr. Bird gave a speech to students in Alumni Hall on "History in Prospect."
*****Bird, Remsen was a preexisting subject on here, but Library of Congress puts his death at 1971.
