Veteran editor, printer and publisher of 53 years Fred L. Alles reminisces about the founding of the "Mechanics' Institute" in 1903 as wreckers demolish the Southwest Building, home of the Chamber of Commerce.
Fred L. Alles holds in front of him a certificate paper.
