Blue sits at a desk watching an unidentified man write. Blue testified that the three men arrested were not part of the Turf Club, and that there were no agents outside of Santa Anita. Text from newspaper caption: Hugh Blue, secretary of the Los Angeles Turf Club, is shown here at the left as he appeared as a prosecution witness at a hearing of three bookmaking suspects in Judge Hamilton's court yesterday in Ontario. He said Santa Anita has no outside agencies for betting. At right is W. C. Buchanan, secretary of the California Horse Racing Board, who gave the same kind of testimony.
