The children delighted in the festivities surrounding Olvera street, donning velvet jackets and embroidered dresses. There was an acrobatic monkey performing, as well as the Mascaras, whose masks were created by Ramon Rodriguez. Two young girls stare at the three figures around them, wearing stripes, scarves, jackets and large masks complete with hats, facial hair and large facial features. Text from newspaper caption: Olvera street celebrated its sixth anniversary yesterday and the Mascaras, traditional Mexican funmakers, were out inspiring laughter. Here is a group of the masked merry-makers.
