Text from newspaper caption: Mrs. George Merrick, Costa Mesa clubwoman, entertains harbor district audiences at women's clubs with her singing fox terrier, Whimpy. When Mrs. Merrick sings a high note, the dog sings high, too. And when his mistress, a widely known vocalist, changes pitch, or sings loud or soft, the dog follows suit. They are shown here in Costa Mesa appearance.
