Photograph appears with the article, "Ventura Sends Flowers as 'Times' Plant Visited," Los Angeles Times, 16 Jan 1936: A2. Hundreds of brilliant poinsettias were placed in The Times lobby, arranged by Ventura's Park Superintendent Perley. Many of the flowers were more than 14 inches across. Text from newspaper caption: Poinsettias, Ventura's official flower, decorated the base of the globe in The Times lobby yesterday when hundreds from that city toured the new Times plant.
