Cellist Elsa Hilger of the Philadelphia Orchestra sits at center. She sits facing towards the left. Her cello stands in front her and rests against her body. Elsa rifles through a small pouch sitting on her far knee while holding her bow in her near hand. She appears to sit in a backstage area. A trunk sits on the ground to the right of her and clothing hangs from the surrounding walls and beams.
