When Melvin climbed into the culvert to retrieve a lost tool his body dammed enough water to drown him. Firemen unsuccessfully attempted to revive him after his body was retrieved. A doctor ruled that he might have died of heart failure.
A group of people stand and alternately crouch near a culvert similar to the one Melvin drowned in.
