Actors (L to R) Philip Armenta, Nat Leffingwell, and George Kern posing with a canoe. The men were appearing in a revival of Dion Boucicault's The Octoroon. It is likely that this photograph was taken at the Mason Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, as part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) Federal Theatre Project.
