The three women stand shoulder-to-shoulder, each one leaning on her own golf club.
150 women have come to battle for the eighth annual island golf tournament, many of whom hold titles and past medals such as Mabel Wittig, Mrs. Mildred Green, Peggy Graham, who won the crown at 18, and many others.

Text from newspaper caption: The tricky Catalina Island golf course doesn't hold any terrors for this trio, one of whom, Mrs. C. J. Wittig, center, is defending title-holder in the island women's golf tournament which starts today with 150 entries. Margaret Bushard, left, and Mrs. G. M. Midgely will likewise compete in the island classic, which will be concluded Tuesday.
