Related to the article, "Actress Takes Special Course: Betty Jane Rhodes Enrolls at U.S.C. for Archeology Study," Los Angeles Times, 11 Jan. 1937: 2. Dr. A.O. Bowden, head of the archeology department at the University of Southern California (USC), with actress Betty Jane Rhodes. Dr. Bowden is pointing to pottery that Rhodes is holding in her arms. In front of them are artifacts on a table. Drawings, a map, and a photograph are on the wall behind them. This photograph was possibly taken on January 11, 1937 when Rhodes enrolled in an archeology course taught by Dr. Bowden. Handwritten on negative: Betty Jane Rhodes + Dr. A.O.
