Grand Duchess Marie, cousin of the late Czar Nicholas of Russia, has arrived in Los Angeles County on a lecture tour and is to be surrounded by an armed police guard due to many threatening letters she has received from Communists.
The Duchess holds a large bouquet in her arms, standing at the bottom of the train platform, the veil of her hat over her face.
