Family Furniture Store, was charged with bigamy for marrying Anna McDonald while still married to Martha Barker. He was also charged for writing bad checks. Related to "Judge Fixes Bigamy Trial: Salesman to Face Double Complaint," Los Angeles Times, 08 Nov 1938: A2. Clarence Barker stands in a courtroom with his left hand in his jacket pocket and his right hand holding his hat and some file envelopes. His overcoat is thrown over his right arm. He is in 3/4 profile, facing the left side of the picture. A clock is on the wall behind him between two windows; it reads noon. A metal studded wooden and leather chair is behind him.
