Likely related to the article, "It's All Work and No Play Twice a Day for Stanford's Footballers: TWO DRILLS BY INDIANS Passes Feature Workouts of Stanford, Alabama for Bowl Battle," Los Angeles Times, 29 Dec. 1934: 8 The Stanford football team runs through drills at Brookside Park prior to the 1935 Rose Bowl game. At center, from left to right, Frank Alustiza and Bobby Grayson run towards the camera. Behind and between them, Bones Hamilton runs towards camera with the football. At far left, Larry Rouble runs towards camera as well. More players stand on field behind and to the left of them. The far side of the practice field is lined by hedges. Spectators stand in front of the hedges at right and some peek over the hedges at left. A similar photograph is captioned, "Proving that Stanford's football team isn't taking its Rose Bowl game tussle with Alabama in a light mood, the Indians worked out twice yesterday. Here's a shot of the drill showing the boys galloping down the field under a punt. Alabama took a morning workout yesterday. [Times photo by Fred Coffey]," Los Angeles Times, 29 Dec. 1934: 8
