The Stanford football team runs through drills at Brookside Park prior to the 1935 Rose Bowl game. At center, Frank Alustiza stands, facing left. He lifts his left arm and right leg as he punts the football to the left. Coaches and teammates watch from a distance at right. Hedges line the far side of the practice field. Spectators stand in front of a scoreboard at far left and watch the practice. A similar photograph is captioned, "Proving that Stanford's football team isn't taking its Rose Bowl game tussle with Alabama in a light mood, the Indians worked out twice yesterday.
