Description
View of Santa Rosa Avenue, unpaved, facing north, lined with tall cedrus deodara trees (also called deodar cedar, Himalayan cedar, or deodar / devdar / devadar / devadaru).
The trees were planted in 1885 by real estate magnate John P. Woodbury, to line the driveway of an estate that was never built. Every Christmas season, since 1920, the trees have been decorated with lights as a spectacle called Christmas Tree Lane
