E. W. Hadley standing beside a specimen of cocos australis palm, located in the corner of a lawn bordered by flowering shrubs and more palm trees on his property.
In the 1900 census, hHadley's address is listed as 637 East Sola St. In 1911, the Santa Barbara city directory lists Hadley's address in the same location, as Sola at the corner of Quarantina (this section of the street was renamed Alta Vista Rd.).
