During Tet, shoppers crowd flower markets for kumquats and sprigs of mai plum blossoms. They will decorate their homes for the Hearth Gods and the departed ancestors. The honored ancestors, returning from their annual report to the Jade Emperor in Heaven, will be received with a special meal.
