For this joint project, two neighbors with adjacent yards decided to hire Eckbo together to design their gardens and a retaining wall bridging both properties. A wonderful example of the design coherence that can be accomplished through collaboration and goodwill, the retaining wall with brise-soleil is one of Eckbo's most inventive forms
