Description
Atttributed to G.H. Johnson based upon the similar view numbered as BANC PIC 1905.16242:082, which is a view taken from a few yards to the left of this vantage point. The details are so similar they are presumed to have been taken by the same photographer on the same day. See bio. in Mautz. EHI gives George H., only Mautz provides "Howard". View of a river mining operations with a small town in the background. Two men and a tent are in the foreground, and men stand near several of the water wheels. Sign on building at far left reads "Maxfield... ", and other illegible signs are visible at center. Men pictured may be Jacob Philips and associates.
