Description
Accompanying notes from a previous owner indicate uncertainty as to location. It was thought to be a view of Coloma, but there is disagreement whether this type of water-wheel was present there. Dutch Claim at Poverty Bar has been suggested as a likely location. Formerly in the John Dench[?] collection. Right reading view of a mining site with men stopping work to pose.
