Description
Probably taken from the valley of the Flathead River, looking east toward the pass in the Rocky Mountains that would ascend toward Kintla Lake. The approach to the pass is described by Dr. David Lyall in the Journal of the Proceedings of the Linnean Society, v.7, 1663, p. 130. Title based on caption of view number two of this three-part panorama, at the Library of Congress. Beinecke Library copy unidentified, but annotated on back: "Panorama # 1"
