Scope/Content: Included are three writings documenting the history of the ownership and development of the land that became the Irvine Ranch, comprising 93,000 acres, in Orange County, California. Of particular interest is the 29-page "The Irvine Ranch (a chronological history)," 1769-1998. Written in 1994, this writing also includes biographical information on the Irvine family.
