Description
Scope/Content: An oral history with Hans Hagen, who was born in 1971 in Laguna Beach, California. He learned to surf at an early age because of exposure to the sport by his family and living in Hawaii. He currently directs the Mauli Ola Organization and he and his co-workers came to the idea of making surfing a healing process for the people with cystic fibrosis in 2008. During his interview, Hagen discusses his family’s relationship with surfing and his understanding of surfing. He explains the process of surf healing for cystic fibrosis.
