Description
Scope/Content: Chief Clarence Lobo, wife Bess and son[?] of the Acjachemen tribe hike past marker at the hub of the original 1,000 acres donated to The Regents by The Irvine Company. The Acjachemen Tribe (Juaneño Band of Mission Indians, Acjachemen Nation) are the Indigenous people of present-day Orange, Northern San Diego County, Southern LA County, and Western Riverside County. Archaeological evidence shows an Acjachemen presence for over 10,000 years.
