Description
Scope/Content: An oral history with Gary Griggs, a professor, who discusses in great detail the effects and costs of ongoing sand replacement projects, explains possible alternatives that work better, and challenges to implementing these ideas. He talks about climate change, as well as mitigation plans that are being pursued in different parts of America. Griggs also discusses efforts to communicate with property owners in endangered zones. He also explains the functions of beach nourishment, beach groins, and the effect of climate change on these practices.
