Description
Scope/Content: In spring of 1959, during a business trip to Europe, Hugh Everett finally stopped in Copenhagen to meet Niels Bohr. The meeting was not a success. However, during the trip Everett wrote out the basis for his generalized Lagrange multiplier method, an optimization scheme that would later form the basis of much of his work in operations research. He jotted the idea down on Hotel Osterport stationary and mailed it to Bob Galiano, a colleague who would go on to be a co-founder of Everett's consulting firm, the Lambda Corporation.
Scope/Content: This document was found in the basement of Mark Everett in 2007 by Mark Everett and Peter Byrne.
