Description
Scope/Content: Duc Nguyen records video of Tung Trinh, Bolinao 52 survivor, as she visits the town of Bolinao, Philippines for the documentary Bolinao 52. Tung Trinh visits the pier where she was brought when rescued and participates in a memorial ceremony to remember her companions lost in the South China Sea. Scope/Content: This subcollection contains interviews by Duc Nguyen with Tung Trinh, Bolinao 52 survivor, and films Trinh talking with the mayor, police, and hospital staff in the town of Bolinao, Philippines. In addition, Nguyen interviews rescuer Carlos Cagusaan with translator Ben Rafanan. Included is footage of a gratitude plaque ceremony and memorial, as well as an exit interview with Trinh before leaving the Philippines.
