Production Credits: Scene Designer: Gronk; Lighting Designer: James F. Ingalls; Producer: Co-production of Teatro Real and Perm State P.I. Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theater
Venue: Opened at Perm State P.I. Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theater in Perm, Russia (2013) and was also performed at Teatro Real in Madrid, Spain, as well as at English National Opera in London, Great Britain (2015)
Scope / Content: The designs for this production were divided into eight codices, in style of Maya codices. Each codex (book) consists of varying numbers of pages that are connected together with artists’ tape. Each book has a cover created with use of Asian paper that has metallic surface in the middle of it.
