Transcription: [Written on photograph] 289 [Written on envelope] Yolo loam soil. Formerly no attention to erosion control. New owner has done excellent job of soil management in prepar-ation for lemon planting on 60 acres. Con-tour ditches and cover crop. Five to six per cent slope. Contour ditches 1 1/2 per cent. No erosion. Banks of ditches will be slightly reduced prior to planting. [Negative digitized]
