Transcription: [Written on photograph] 247 [Written on envelope] Yolo loam; fifteen per cent slope. Subsoiled up and down and around the barranca on left. Cutting in subsoil marks 15 inches deep. Remainder of field subsoiled on contour, with very little cutting, except slope adjoining up and down subsoil marks, which caused greater run-off in contour sub-soil marks. [Negative digitized]
