292 (hand written in lead) London, July 14th 1830 My Lord, As a dissolution of parliament is immediately to take place, I think it proper to lose no time in informing your Lordship, that is my intention again to offer myself as a Candidate for the honor of representing the Peerage of Scotland; and in anxiously soliciting your Lordship’s vote and interest on this occasion, I be to express my gratitude for the support I have formerly received.
