Description
Scope/Content: Abstract: All steelhead trout barriers in Solstice Creek on National Park Service property have been successfully demolished. The first steelhead trout barriers were removed in July with funding from American Fisheries and assistance from California Fish and Game and the California Youth Conservation Corps (CCC). These barriers were low-water crossings (Arizona Crossings) that were demolished over a period of a few weeks. The CCC's set up coffer dams to divert water and used jackhammers, a bobcat with a jackhammer, and a lot of lifting to carry concrete out of the streams. There [sic] hard work was documented and photos and video are available.
