Scope/Content: Abstract: FERC issued docket number p-2082: This letter transmits an original and 8 copies of a final report titled The Effect of the Klamath Hydroelectric Project on Traditional Resource Uses and Cultural Patterns of the Karuk People Within the Klamath River Corridor to supplement PacifiCorp's application for new license for the above-captioned Project that is located on the Klamath River in Klamath County, Oregon, and Siskiyou County, California, filed with FERC February 25, 2004. The report is the result of a collaborative effort between PacifiCorp, and the Karuk Tribe to document the Karuk perspective regarding Klamath Hydroelectric Project effects to resources ofcultural significance to the Tribe. This report documents Karuk tribal uses of resources found within the Klamath River corridor which may be affected by the Klamath Hydroelectric Project. The range of resources includes plants, animals, and fish, as well as locations with spiritual or traditional cultural significance.
