Scope/Content: Abstract: FERC issued docket number p-2381: On Monday, Devember 12, 2004, PacifiCorp staff was informed by field operations of the discovery of a sink hole on Ashton dam located along the embankment side of the powerhouse training wall, in the same vicinity as the repair work completed in October 2004 and reported to your office in ou November 1, 2004 letter. Operators noticed the sink hole after a warming period when snow covering the area melted and exposed the embankment. The granular fill placed over the area in October still appeared frozen except for a small area that appeard to collapse at the location of the hole.
