Scope/Content: Abstract: FERC issued docket number p-2403, p-2710, p-2712, p-2534,p-2600, p-2666: On behalf of PPL Maine, LLC, please find enclosed an original and eight copies of an essential fish habitat assessment for Atlantic salmon for the Penobscot River. This assessment was developed pursuant to the requirements of the Magnuson-Stevens Act to assist the Commission and was prepared in consultation with a number of government agencies, copies of whose comments are attached, including NOAA Fisheries, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Maine Atlantic Salmon Commission and the Penobscot Indian Nation. This assessment development effort was referred to in the second paragraph of Section 3.2.2 of the Draft Environmental Assessment on Amendment of Licenses, issued by the Office of Energy Projects in connection with the above referenced projects on November 3, 2004.
