Description: Scope/Content: Abstract: FERC issued docket number p-477: Portland General Electric Company (PGE) proposes to decommission its Bull Run Project and remove all project facilities, including Marmot dam and Little Sandy diversion dam and Roslyn Lake. The project is located on the Sandy, Little Sandy, and Bull Run Rivers, near the Town of Sandy, Clachamas County, Oregon. The project is located parually on lands administered by the Forest Service (NIL Hood National Forest) and the Bureau of Land Management. The proposed action would result in short-term adverse impacts, particularly adverse impacts to water quality and fisheries habitat. Long-term fisheries and conservation benefits would result. The loss of Roslyn Lake would have long-term adverse impacts on recreation and potential impacts on residential water wells. The Commission staffrecommends project decommissioning, as proposed by PGE, with modifications.
