Description: Scope/Content: Abstract: This report studies revegetation methods for the various restoration alternatives for the Upper York Creek Dam Removal Project (the "Project"). The project is to remove or modify for fish passage an earthen dam on York Creek, located about 3 miles west of the town of St. Helena in Napa County, California. All design alternatives involve various amounts of dam removal ranging from complete dam removal to notching the dam to allow fish passage. All alternatives also include sediment removal. The project will require revegetation of roughly 2 acres of disturbed area for all alternatives. Revegetation will focus on creation of self-sustaining native vegetative habitat, control of erosion and stabilization of the newly created stream channel. This report provides a single methodology for revegetation that is applied to all of the project alternatives.
